I read all the books as a kid, practically memorized the movies, and spent hours pretending to be Anne. I was so proud my middle name was Anne, and when I was 7, I requested for a couple of weeks that everyone call me Anne, until I got sick of my friends who couldn't remember the change and my parents who refused to acknowledge it.
